The Way

Though I didn't really watch - was doing something else in the same room, while others watched.  But it caught my interest when I realised it was about the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, the setting for a different film La Voie Lactée, directed by Luis Buñuel in the 1960s.

The Way of St James. It looks a really interesting experience to undertake Alison, in what is probably the most interesting part of Spain. (I'm thinking photography and scenery of course). Even if one only completed the mandatory minimum 100K.
"To be a Pilgrim" was my old school hymn, I seem to remember.{:)
I have seen a trailer of the film, anything with Martin Sheen is usually worth watching.

I love Andalusía, but it was very hot in October 2009 and 2010 when we went - and not easy to find decent maps for walking.

The walk to Santiago sounds interesting. I remember watching the Buñuel film, and coming out wondering what on earth was going on - a very strange film. The Way is more straightforward. The scenery looks fantastic.
